On June 5th, 2003, over 300 leaders from the Toronto region’s corporate, community, public, labour and voluntary sectors participated in a second Toronto City Summit. The 2003 Summit was organized by the Toronto City Summit Alliance Steering Committee with partners including the Canadian Urban Institute, the Toronto Board of Trade, United Way Toronto and the City of Toronto.
During the 2003 Summit, regional leaders endorsed the Enough Talk action plan and agreed to pursue its recommendations. Following the Summit, 190 senior Toronto leaders wrote letters to the Ontario Premier and Prime Minister of Canada urging them to commit their governments to commit to a timetable for implementing Enough Talk.
