For the past 52 years, The St. Leonard’s Society of Hamilton (SLSH) has provided residential support to adult males released from prison. SLSH operates two residential housing programs, accommodating up to 58 individuals at any given time, and a Day Reporting Centre that assists in their successful reintegration into the community. These programs positively impact societal reintegration, as one client stated, “I spent 27 years in prison, and then they let me out to this halfway house – and thank God they did. I need this place.” SLSH aspires to create a community where all people have value and the capacity to change.
