Founded in 1968, Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) is one of Canada’s longest-running contemporary dance companies and our newest BoardShift organization. Led by Artistic Director, Andrew Tay, TDT is a legendary artistic home and collaboration hub where curious creators, ensemble performers, and audiences inspire each other to create and celebrate new explorations of dance – playful to provocative, from near and far – that reflect our times, our diverse cultures and communities. Ever fresh and adventurous, TDT is one of Canada’s leading innovators in contemporary dance while being one of the very few dance companies in the country with an ensemble of dancers.
TDT is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors, which is comprised of a committed group of professionals with a passion for the performing arts and a deep commitment to the organization’s future health and growth. Ideal candidates should similarly have a passion for the performing arts, be keen to contribute to the strategic development of the organization through the company’s renewed artistic direction, and possess legal, financial, strategic planning, and/or fundraising skills.
