POLICY JAM: CivicAction On The 2026 Municipal Election

Policy Jam is strictly non-partisan. CivicAction does not endorse candidates, parties, or campaigns. This event is designed to elevate civic priorities, not partisan positions
About Policy Jam
The 2026 vote will shape housing, transit, affordability, and who gets to build a future in this region. Policy Jam is where emerging leaders show up, take the mic, and put their priorities on the record.
Music on when you walk in. Three Civic Provocateurs get five minutes each. No long speeches. No slides. Just sharp takes on what this election is really about. Then the mic opens to the room.
El Mocambo has hosted some of Toronto’s most electric nights. On August 6, it hosts a different kind of civic night. A spoken word artist closes the programme with a live response to what the room produced.
And what the room says does not stay in the room. Within 14 days, CivicAction will synthesize the discussion into a public civic agenda and share it with leading municipal candidates and campaigns across the GTHA, inviting written responses.
Your voice goes somewhere real. CivicAction sends what this room produces to every major GTHA candidate and asks for a formal written response.
Emerging leaders in their 20s and 30s with something to say about housing, transit, affordability, or where this city is headed. People who are ready to be heard, not just informed.
