Anam Zakaria (she/her) is a Program Manager at CivicAction, where she leads the DiverseCity Fellows program, an award-winning year-long experience for leaders from diverse communities and backgrounds across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region.  She designs and delivers programming that amplifies leadership skills, enables leaders to grow their networks, explore social issues, and drive positive change in our communities.  Anam brings 15 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector. She is a published author and outside of CivicAction, she works closely with newcomers and refugees as the founder of Qissa – the home of stories. In her free time, she can be found playing with her toddler, finding her next dessert spot or watching stand-up comedy.
