A sociologist by training, Hadi’s career focuses on the intersection of data, public policy, and people. He’s driven by the belief that research evidence can help build coalitions and create impactful public policies and programs. After earning his PhD from McGill University, Hadi began his career at the Ontario Ministry of Health’s research branch before playing a key role in Toronto Public Health’s pandemic response. He later returned to the Ministry of Health and moved on to the Ministry of Education, where he led a policy shop. Now, Hadi leads the data and research department at the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario’s fifth-largest regulatory body.
As a firm believer in the power of diverse perspectives, he is sure that the best way forward is to bring new voices to the table and share ideas in a truly collaborative manner. Outside of work, Hadi enjoys singing in a community choir he co-founded with friends.
