Ronald Alepian is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for TD Bank Group. He advises the CEO, Senior Executive Team and Board on complex issues, and leads an integrated North American team that strengthens brand and reputation, drives TD’s competitive advantage and market differentiation, nurtures relationships with policymakers and key stakeholders, and mobilizes the energy and talent of TD’s colleagues. He joined TD in August of 2017 as Chief Communications Officer, with responsibility for Corporate & Public Affairs (CAPA) and Canadian Government Relations, and added U.S. Government Relations, Sustainability, Corporate Citizenship and Social Impact to his mandate in early 2025.
Throughout his career, Ron has helped some of the world’s leading corporations navigate uncertainty, launch groundbreaking products, build market momentum, and capture new opportunity. He has provided strategic communications, brand, investor relations and government relations counsel to CEOs and Boards in Canada, the United States and globally. Prior to joining TD Ron led the strategy, design and investor practice at one of the market’s premier strategic communications firms. From 2009-2014 he served as Group Head of Marketing and Communications for TMX Group (which owns the Toronto Stock Exchange, Montreal Exchange, Canadian Depository for Securities, and other businesses). He has also served as Chief Communications Officer for CA Technologies in New York City, Vice President of Global Communications for Nortel in Toronto, and Sr. Director of Financial and Corporate Communications for BCE/Bell Canada in Montreal.
Ron serves on the Board of Directors of Civic Action and was a member of the Board of Governors of Junior Achievement. As an undergraduate student in early 1990’s, he founded and led a refugee aid and community support program in the newly independent Republic of Armenia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Concordia University, a Certificate in Management from McGill University, and completed a marketing executive program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
